(Walt Disney Studios, 1940) Original concept storyboard drawing featuring Madame Upanova and Ostrich from Fantasia, showing them dancing and jumping in exquisite detail, drawn in a manner that radiates animated movement. Accomplished in graphite and colored pencil on untrimmed 12 x 10 animation paper. Images measure 4.5 x 4.5 and 5 x 7.5. The sheet bears a Courvoisier Galleries Walt Disney Productions ink stamp at the bottom. A few stains and slight show-through from an ink stamp to reverse, otherwise fine condition. Madame Upanova was in the segment of Fantasia entitled ‘Dance of the Hours,’ and the ostriches pursue her in hopes of getting her grapes, as seen in this beautiful production sketch.
