FIRST IRISH EDITION, 36-pages, 12mo, recent paper wrapper : a nice copy. Based upon C. B. Fagan’s ’L’étourderie’.(2) KELLY ( Hugh ). The School for Wives. A comedy. As it is performed at the Theatre-Royal in Drury-Lane. Dublin : Printed by and for James Parker and Co. … and for James Williams … , 1774. FIRST IRISH EDITION (?), pages (8), 88, 12mo, recent paper wrapper : a few leaves cut close in lower margin affecting, at most, some catch-words : a very good copy. ESTC locates only five copies of this Dublin edition : D(2), O / NjP, KU-S. There was another Dublin edition, and a Belfast one, published in the same year. A very good comedy, noted for containing some judicious observations on duelling.<3) COWLEY ( Hannah ). The town before you. A comedy, as acted at the Theatre-Royal, Covent-Garden. Dublin:Printed for P.Wogan, P.Byrne…(and four others), 1795. FIRST IRISH EDITION, pp ix, (3), 82 and epilogue leaf, 12mo, recent wraps : very good. A later issue had a new imprint on pasted on slip reading "Sold by G. Walsh, 19 Wood-Quay".<4) CONWAY ( Henry Seymour ). False Appearances ; a comedy. Altered from the French, and performed at the Theatre-Royal, Drury-Lane. Dublin : Printed for Messrs. Chamberlaine, Gilbert, Byrne, Wogan (and 7 others) … , 1789. FIRST IRISH EDITION, pp viii, (2), 74 (i.e. 66), large 12mo, recent wrapper : a very good, well-margined copy yet leaf of prologue cut close at foot affecting most of the final line. A translation of ’Les dehors trompeurs’ by Louis de Boissy and first performed at the Duke of Richmond's private theatre in May 1788. With an epilogue written by General Burgoyne.
