MUNICH AGREEMENT HOUSE OF COMMONS DEBATES
MUNICH AGREEMENT HOUSE OF COMMONS DEBATES
Binding of five volumes, "Parliamentary Debates, House of Commons, Official Report" (London: His Majesty's Stationery Office), Sept. 28, Oct. 3, 4, 5, and 6, 1938, approx. 590 pages, all addressing the Munich Agreement, which allowed Hitler to annex the Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia without interference from its allies, in exchange for leaving the remainder of Czechoslovakia intact. This volume includes Prime Minister NEVILLE CHAMBERLAIN's (1869-1940) explanation and defense of the agreement, as well as opposition from other politicians, including several resignations. The agreement was signed on Sep. 30, 1938, and Germany would annex the rest of the country on March 15. The volume is bound in blue cloth, which is peeling slightly on both covers. It is dedicated and signed by a British politician, unidentified by us, on the front endpaper. The spine bears a small tear, else very good.
