Alamgir II, Gold Mohur, 10.92g, Islamabad Mint (Mint name on top), AH 1170/ RY 3. Interesting Mint mark on bottom of obverse quite resemble to Maratha issue of Balwantnagar Jhansi. Extremely fine, extremely rare. Interesting coin were name of the ruler inscribed with ‘Alam’ and ‘Gir’ joined together. It is difficult to assume issuer of these coins but contender is Jats of Bharatpur or Maratha’s. In 1756 Maratha’s capture the town of Attock (now in north-west Pakistan). Most of these coins reported to found from Pakistan so it s highly plausible these coins might be struck by Maratha’s.
