A group of five mining stock certificates from four different companies, all in issued form. 1) Marietta Mining and Milling Company: Inc. in Washington. Cert. #144, issued to W.A. Graham at Spokane for 1,000 shares in 1934. Signed by W.S. Norman as president and Fred Lloyd (?) as secretary. Oval mining vignette. Black and gold on crème with gold seal. Pen cancelled. 10 ½” x 8”. The company held the Marietta and Metallic mines at Barton Gulch, Virginia City district, in Madison County, near Alder. Gold-silver bearing ore occurred in a vein deposit (1937 Mines Register, pg. 548). VF. 2) Lexington Mining Company: Inc. in Washington. Cert. #1210, issued to Victor Kalin for 5,000 shares at Washington, D.C. in 1943. Signed by D.A. Callahan as president and C.J. Batter as secretary. Black on crème with brown seal and borders. Oval mining vignette. Operated at Niehart, Montana and was a gold-silver producer. Large splits in top border. VG. 3) Standard Silver-Lead Mining Co.: Inc. in Washington. Cert. #A10307, issued to Mrs. Mary Yannunzio. Signed by W.A. Corey as vice-president and C.N. Prather as secretary. Vignette of a mountain scene. Black print on white with green under print and borders. The company operated the Wilborn mine, a gold-silver producer at Wilborn, Montana. Extra folds, pinholes. VF. 4) Ambassador Mines Corporation: Inc. in Washington. Cert. #1108, issued to John Carroll for 3,000 shares at Spokane in 1948. Mill site vignette. Black and gold on crème with gold seal. Held claims on Granite Creek, Saunders County with silver-lead ore. 11” x 8 ¼”. Stamp cancelled. Part of stub attached at left. Exchanged for shares in Sunny Peak Mining Co. in 1954 printed at the top.VF. 5) Ambassador Mines Corporation: Inc. in Washington. Cert. #869, issued to Ed Sverdsten for 444 shares. No vignette.
