A set of three different issued Montana copper mining stock certificates. 1) Copper=Silver Montana Mining Company: Cert. #756, issued in 1914 for 55 shares to Mary Irene Murray. U/C. Signed by W.L. Smith as vice president and A.P. Haywood as secretary. Large oval mining vignette. Black on crème with gold seal. 10.25” x 8.25”. The company operated in the Scratch Gravel district, just north of Helena (1908 Copper Handbook). EF. 2) Montana Copper Mining Company: Cert. #775, issued at Butte in 1900 to Annie L. Litch. Signed by A.E. Spriggs as president and J.K. Waite as Secretary. Eagle vignette with gold seal. UncancelU/Cmpany operated in the Big Blackfoot district, Lewis and Clarke County. Browning and large tape repairs to the folds on the reverse. Good. 3) Potomac Copper Company: Cert. #599, issued for 100 shares in 1919 to Sig Schilling. Signed by W.P. John, president and J.J. Harrington, secretary. Oval vignette of the state seal of Montana with the motto, “Oro y Plata”. Black and green on crème. 11” x 8.25”. U/C. TheU/Cld 20 claims near Potomac in the Copper Cliff mining district, Powell County. The property was discovered in 1881. The ore produced contained copper and gold. VF
