Nelson, Mae Burns Quirk, and Miss Marie Schatzman, respectively. 2) 3 cancelled Anaconda Company certificates no. NO547985 (blue, 1970), NU5587 (orange, 1967), and N610546 (green, 1970), and issued to Anne E. Needham, Edwin A. Becker, and Bache & Co., respectively. Two are signed by J. S. Johnson and John G. Hall and one is signed by R.E. Schneider and C. Jay Rordinson(?). 3) Bald Butte Gold Mines certificate no. 2575 for 1,250 shares issued to Rev. S. G. Houghton and signed by William Stratton and L. K. Stratton, Sept. 5, 1933. Brown border and black text. Highly decorated gold border with vignettes of miners and 1 large vignette at top center of underground miners. 6) Butte Exemption Copper Company unissued certificate no.856, 19_. No border, yellow paper and signed by A, E. Peat and Williams A. Nichollo. The copper mines of this company were east of Bullwacker. 7) Butte Georgetown Mining and Milling Company unissued certificate no. 696, 19_. Decorated gold border with 3 vingettes: top right of two miners, top center of mining landscape, and top right of 5 miners. 8) Butte & London Copper Development Co. Certificate no. 8648 for 100 shares issued to Julius C. Bernheim and signed by T. N. Emeny and Jas. H,. Lynch, April 29, 1907. Highly decorated black bvorder with gold sunburst-lines in background. Incorporated under the laws of Arizona with offices at Butte. Known as the Greendale placer claims, the mines of the company were east of Butte. 9) Davis-Daly Copper Company certificate no. B01790 for 53 shares issued to James L. Wesron and signed bu W. C. Shaw and John. Williams, Aug. 9, 1909. Blue decorative border with large vignettes at top center of miners with equipment, and eagle with wings spread, and 7 underground miners. Mines were run by the infamous mining operator, F. Augustus Heinse. 10) Flint Creek Mining Company unissued certificate no. 839A. Black border with 5 vignettes: top left side view of silver dollar with certificate no., center top of eagle with flags, shield, and branches, top right of face side of silver dollar with shares, bottom right of six miners working shaft, and bottom left of 5 underground miners. 11) North Butte Extension Development Company certificate no. 1243 for 100 shares issued to Herbert D. Robinson and signed by S(?). W. Andrews and Chas. H. Moore, Dec. 16, 1908. Blue decorative border with vignette of single miner working underground equipment. 12) 5 North Butte Mining Company certificates no. 16521 (green, 1906), A18532 (orange, 1911), A28812 (orange, 1923), F4490 (blue, 1929), and C10716 (pink, 1929). All certificates are cancelled and most have revenue stamps on back. This was an extensive mining operation with thousands of feet of underground workings. In 1915, it had the largest electrically driven hoist in America. 13) Original Butte Mining Company cancelled certificate no. 347 for 1,000 shares issued to W. C. Child and signed by Geo. B. Child, Chares S. Miller, and F. M. (illegible), July 5, 1882. Black border, no vignette. Company was incorporated in 1881. 14) 4 cancelled Parrot Silver and Copper Company certificates no. A545 (brown, 1906), A1250 (brown, 1909), A298 (brown, unissued but signed), and 32220 (green, 1910). 15) Parrot Silver and Copper Company cancelled certificate no. 17 for 2668 shares issued to Nunser, Jan. 30, 1889. Secretary's and president's names have been punched due to cancellation. Black border on yellow paper with vignette of parrot on left and company seal below. 16) Parrot Silver and Copper Company cancelled certificate no. 10272 for 25 shares issued to Devens, Lyman & Co. Officers signatures have been punched due to cancellation. Black border on yellow paper with vignette of parrot on left and company seal below. 17) South Park Mining and Realty Company unissued certificate no. 800. Blue border with black text and vignette of river in mountainscape at top left. 18) Tuolumne Copper Mining Company cancelled certificate no. B26263 for 100 shares issued to Kendrick Crawford and signed by J. J. Harrington and Ed. J. Hickey, April 29, 1918.
