<B>MODEL 1872 U.S. OFFICERS GRADE CAVALRY SABER</B></I> - Nicely etched blade with; 'U.S.', Stand - of - Flags, American Eagle and foliate patterns. Ricasso etched “U.S. Armory - Springfield Mass.” Elaborate gold gilt guard, basket and pommel cap. Original red leather washer intact. Nickle plated scabbard is mounted with decorated hangers and drag which are also gold gilt. Grip leather and twisted wire wrap are 100 percent.<BR><BR><B>Condition:</B></I> Blade has minimal staining, nothing offensive. Nickle scabbard shows scattered erosion and slight lifting of nickel.
