Colt Single Action Army Revolver in .45 Colt caliber with a 5 ½” barrel, factory engraved, gold finish, ivory grips with steer head, shipped to Abercrombie and Fitch Co, New York, New York, Feb 19, 1932, #10959/1 with 1 Lot Title gun in shipment. Also included is an extra matching engraved and numbered .45 A.C.P. fitted cylinder showing matching return and assembly marks to revolver which also shows star on the guard. 98%-99% factory rich gold Lot Title finish with excellent carved medallion ivory grips. Pristine edges and sharp markings with excellent bore. Minimal to no use with only slight aging. The full gold finish is the rarest of factory finishes on single actions Lot Title with about half a dozen known. This example was retained by Bob Mandel firearms expert for Abercrombie & Fitch Chicago who obtained it from retiring chief executive. It had been a display gun during depression and Mandel Lot Title obtained it in 60’s being only Colt he ever collected. We sold it for Mandel about a decade ago and now consigned by local estate. The box is associated for display purposes and not the original. A very rare factory
