MICHAEL LIPPERT
(1897 - 1969) SS Standartenführer, commanded several concentration camps, including Sachsenhausen, before becoming a commander of the SS-Freiwilligen Legion Flandern and the 10. SS-Panzer-Division. He is probably best known for murdering SA leader Ernst Röhm on July 2, 1934. Scarce signed book, a soldier's edition of Mein Kampf (Munich: Central Office of the NSDAP), 784pp. 8vo., red cloth boards, gilt title. Inscribed on the front flyleaf: "In remembrance of the Wehrmacht's war" and signed with rank, southern France, Dec. 24, 1940. Light toning about gutters, else fine. With cardboard mailing box.
