MEXICO, Mexico City, cob 8 reales "biscuit," probably Charles II, assayer not visible, thickly oxidized and encrusted (as found). 19.67 grams total. Somewhat rectangular coin totally cocooned in black oxidation with pebbles encrusted thereon (up to ½" thick near center), neat for display. Pedigreed to the Steve Valentine Collection, with original certificate from the salvor/conservator. Recovered from: Het Huis te Kraaiestein, sunk in 1698 off South Africa
