MEXICO, Mexico City, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer P, with canvas imprint on shield side. S-M19; KM-45; Cal-Type 319. 26.97 grams. Solid flan (practically no corrosion) but very uneven in thickness, making for lots of flat areas, still with clear P below a checkered pattern from a canvas-bag imprint, nearly full cross, deeply toned all over. With oversized certificate from the salvors. Recovered from: Concepción, sunk in 1641 off Hispaniola
