MEXICO, Mexico City, clump of one cob 8 reales and one cob 4 reales encrusted together, assayer P where visible. 34.14 grams. roughly 1½" diameter x ¼" thick. One very solid and nicely toned 8R with assayer and denomination visible, its cross side covered with a corroded 4R, traces of tan coral and green oxidation here and there. With original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic. Recovered from: Concepción, sunk in 1641 off Hispaniola
