Small sugar bowl made by Meissen, Germany. It is a remake of one made by Meissen in 1740 with a peach finial.

Measurements: 2 1/4" diameter; 3" high.

Very pretty little lidded pot. 3 sprigs of multi-coloured flowers adorn the little pot. A beautiful blue Morning Glory is painted on the lid. The details of the painting are excellent. The lid has a wonderful finial made of a moulded and applied rose bud with vine leaves and tendrils.
Both pot & lid have gilded borders.

Marks: blue underglaze crossed swords. There is a dot below the hilts of the swords, indicating 1951-1953. Various painted and impressed numbers (for painters and models).

Condition:fabulous condition - no damage to porcelain, paint or gilding.

Please see my other wonderful Meissen pieces.
