Illustrated with 12 chromolithograph plates. 4to, green cloth with gilt lettering and fish vignette, lightly rubbed, t.e.g., endpapers browned, light scattered foxing, generally very good [sold with] An ALs to William Ellacombe dated 4 Dec. 1903, at Wigstown asking him to send criticism of his book and speaking about general classification of Azalea. He speaks about fishing for trout and the hopes for a visit to Ellacombe's garden.

Henry Nicholson Ellacombe (1822-1916) was clergyman, gardener, and botanist who wrote on plants mentioned in Shakespeare's works. An interesting association copy.
