MAXWELL BODENHEIM
(1892 - 1954) American poet and novelist known as the "King of Greenwich Village Bohemians". His writing brought him international fame during the Jazz Age of the 1920s. A.Q.S. 1p. 4to., [n.p., n.d.], in pencil, a fair copy of thirteen lines of his poetry, rather grim condemning Wall Street and war: "..Another war perhaps, millions of men blown to pieces. For what? - a brass band over their futile graves...". A few fold tears and chips at margins, overall just good.
