MATCHED PAIR OF FLINT LOCK PISTOLS. Fine pair of small flintlocks, 7" overall length, with locks mounted on top of the frame, and 3" barrels that unscrew just in front of the locks, and each stamped with a "K." The frame on each side engraved with martial motifs, and oval cartouches engraved "C and I D Wolfe" and "New York", the trigger guard on each engraved with a star, frame in front of lock with two British (?) touchmarks. Single-piece walnut grips, ca. 1810-20. Perhaps lightly cleaned, but long ago, both barrels with old bruising from a wrench, but not obtrusively so.
