MARINUS WILLETT (1740-1830). American Revolutionary War Soldier, a Leader of the Sons of Liberty, served with George Washington and Sullivan, and a Commander of American forces in the Mohawk Valley of New York.
February 28, 1788-Dated, Partly-Printed Document (Twice) Signed, “Marinus Willett” in the text, and a second time at conclusion “M. Willett” as Alderman, 1 page, measuring 8.5” x 8” at New York, Choice Very Fine. This original document being a “Recognizance” Bond. Some expected tone at the fold lines, overall crisp looking, well printed and nice with rich brown signatures.
