MARIE THERESE AUTOGRAPHED LETTER. Single page ALS by Marie Therese, 8 x 11.5", n.d., n.p. Marie Therese was the daughter of Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI, and the only one of their 4 children to reach adulthood. She was Dauphine during the reigns of Louis XVIII and Charles X, her uncles. This letter is to the Comtesse D'Artois, wife of the Comte (Count) D'Artois, later to become Charles X (1824-1830). Charles abdicated in 1830, forcing Marie Therese back into an exile begun during the Revolution, ending her brief respite in the royal households of France. Framed under glass with small portrait of her. Light soil, usual folds; not removed from frame for examination. Not examined out of frame.
