Additional Information : This rare Lithograph is Hand Signed in pencil by the artist "Marc Chagall" at the lower right margin.
It is also Dedicated and Dated in pencil "Pour Theodore Fraenkel amicallement Marc Chagall 1951", next to the signature.
This is a extremely rare proof of this early work.
Chagall never printed a signed edition of this lithograph but only signed a few artist proofs and dedicated them to his close friends.
This is one of these rare signed and dedicated artist proofs.
Printed by Charles Sorlier, based on a painting by Chagall from the same year.
The work is also signed and dated in the plate in the lower left corner "Marc Chagall 1950".

Provenance: A gift from the artist to Theodore Fraenkel, a french surrealistic artist.
