Goodwin family, South Berwick, York County, watercolor on paper, late 1820s -early 1830s, signed "MG" on a tombstone. Church graveyard with text on the tombstones. Period frame, 11 3/4"h. 16 3/4"w. Ex Paul DeCoste (Massachusetts).

This memorial is for Molly Wallingford Goodwin (1752-1826), wife of Major General Ichabod Goodwin (1743-1829) and their daughter, Hannah Goodwin Seaver (1781-1820) wife of Joseph W. Seaver, Esq. The Goodwins were prominent family in South Berwick, the Maior General, being a member of the Provincial Congress in1775, an officer in the Revolution and in the Massachusetts militia, and a county sheriff.
