This is an original Montana Territory Knives of Bozeman, Montana camp knife with an excellent scrimshaw W. F. Cody Buffalo Bill portrait. The blade has been forged from 1095HC (High Carbon) steel and 15N20 Nickel Carbon which is then heated and folded into 396 layers creating the astounding “Damascus” steel. The knife shows a wonderful mosaic ladder Damascus pattern. The hollow grind full tang blade has been paired with a set of nice white wild Buffalo bone grip scales which are secured to the piece using one large mosaic pin of brass and copper. The knife also features a set of polished stainless-steel bolsters with a comfortable finger well. The tang and knife spine have been artfully hand vine filled. The grips have also artfully been scrimshaw etched with the bust portrait of W. F. Cody “Buffalo Bill”. William Frederick “Buffalo Bill” Cody was an American Scout, buffalo hunter and showman of the Buffalo Bill Wild West show. The knife is in brand new condition and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity along with a Lifetime warranty.
