Souvenir typescript, one page, 8.5 x 11, detailing the crash of the band’s plane on October 20, 1977, and Pyle’s role in the rescue effort, signed in ballpoint “Artimus Pyle.” In part: “Sixty miles from our destination…we ran out of fuel and started to spiral down. We hit the Mississippi pine trees and all motions stopped within 10 seconds of impact. I knew the only thing that would help my friends was immediate assistance from first hand responders…Although my injuries were severe, they were nothing compared to that of my friends.” In fine condition.
