Two glossy photos of Fontanne with husband and acting partner Alfred Lunt in different roles, 8 x 10 and 10 x 8, each signed in black ink. In overall fine condition. Married in 1922, Fontanne and Lunt became the pre-eminent Broadway couple, appearing together in over 20 plays, a film, several radio dramas, and a few television productions before their retirement in 1966. They were presented with the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Lyndon Johnson, and left their mark on Broadway with the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. An excellent pairing of photos.
