Agnew, written shortly after the Nixon-Agnew ticket decisively won their second term in the 1972 election. In part: “You were deeply kind to find the time in these busy days to wish us well on our anniversary and to add to the happiness of our celebration. We are thinking of you and the tasks ahead, and want you to know again we will do everything we can to help.” In fine condition. Accompanied by an unsigned telegram sent by Johnson the day after the election congratulating Agnew on his victory. Originates from the personal estate of Spiro Agnew.
