In part: “Mrs. Johnson and I were happy to learn that you are honoring the Vances with a reception on June 28th. As much as we would both like to join you, the Latin American Ambassadors will be visiting us that same evening.” Under his signature, Johnson adds a boldly penned postscript which reads, “I want to do something for Cy & his faithful lady–Will Contact you—.” In fine condition. Letter originates from the Estate of Robert S. McNamara.
