Lyndon B. Johnson signed first edition of ''The Vantage Point: Perspectives on the Presidency 1963-1969.'' Holt, Rinehart and Winston: New York, Chicago, San Francisco: 1971. He signs ''Lyndon B. Johnson'' in black felt tip to a bookplate affixed to the fly-leaf. Johnson's descriptive account of his tenure in the executive office runs 636pp. and comes bound in red cloth boards with gilt lettering on blue print blocks. Features maps printed to the endpapers, and bookplate has LBJ seal in gilt. Measures 6.25'' x 9.5''. Very good dustjacket has a few small tears to verso. Book is near fine.
