Lyndon B. Johnson signed biography, ''The Professional: Lyndon B. Johnson'', written by William S. White and published by Houghton Mifflin: Boston: 1964, first edition from the fourth printing. Johnson's autograph inscription inked to the fly-leaf reads in full, ''To Esther Pinsky - with best wishes / Lyndon B. Johnson''. Accompanied by an LOA from Democratic National Convention Chairman John M. Bailey gifting the signed book to a ''fellow Delegate'', printed on his official stationery and dated 12 June 1964. Biography runs 273pp. Bound in light red cloth boards with gilt lettering. Faint sunning to spine ends, and 31 July 1964 date is stamped to the front free endpaper, else near fine. Dustjacket features $5.00 price and shows chipping to edges and paper loss to bottom edge of rear cover, else very good.
