Manufacturer: Simson Model: P.08
Manufactured by unknown engineer/designer using Krieghoff P.08 frame and barrel extension with toggle marked Simson & Company of Suhl, Germany. Blade front and notch rear sights with an unmarked chamber and "SIMSON & Co/SUHL" on the toggle link. A "crown/06" stamp is present on the right side of the trigger and on top of the extractor with a "droop wing eagle/2" on the extension, "eagle/6" on the toggle link and "eagle/Jt3" on the rear toggle. The rear sight cut has been deepened and a screw has been installed on the safety bar, traveling through a matching cut in the left grip. In use the safety lever is fully operational, but the shooter can also operate the safety via the screw, which requires less movement of the hand out of shooting position and would feel very familiar to users of the 1911 or High Power pistols. With checkered grips and a nickel finished "SCHMEISSER" marked Haenel magazine.
