The grips are checkered brown plastic. The pistol has a Type 3 Army magazine with blued body, square cut bottom and aluminum base with retaining pin. The pistol chamber is dated "1937". The "Anchor/H/K" Krieghoff logo is stamped on the middle toggle link above the late "KRIEGHOFF/SUHL" marking. The Luftwaffe "Stick Eagle/L/2" Acceptance Stamp is located on the right side of the frame followed by the Luftwaffe test proof and a parts stamp. The left side of the breechblock is stamped with a Luftwaffe proofmark and parts stamp. Luftwaffe "Eagle/2" parts stamps are present on all major components. The serial number, "9014", is stamped on the front of the frame, the left side of the barrel chamber and the underside of the barrel. The partial serial number "14" is stamped on the side plate, take-down lever, trigger, safety lever, safety bar, toggle links, rear toggle link pin, breechblock. All of the visible serial numbers match. The magazine is not serial numbered. The Krieghoff Luger was the only pistol officially inspected, accepted and proof marked by the Luftwaffe.
