Three items from Silberstein's personal archives:

Partly-printed document, one page both sides, 8.5 x 13.5, May 3, 1918. Memorandum of agreement between Dr. Ludwik Silberstein and Longmans, Green & Co. for the publication of "a work entitled Simplified Method of Tracing Rays through any Optical System of Lenses, Prisms & Mirrors." Silberstein pens the date of receipt at the top, and initials a handwritten a note at the conclusion: "The present book was published in the second half of September 1918. L.S."

Original vintage glossy 3.25 x 4.25 silver gelatin photograph of Dr. Silberstein smoking a pipe, annotated on the reverse in his own hand, "Washington, IV.1925."

ALS signed "J. W. Perry," one page both sides, 8 x 10, personal letterhead, June 26, 1946. Handwritten letter to Dr. Silberstein, in part: "I am most concerned to hear of Vega's passing, indeed I cannot quite realize it. She has remained to me, so live a person ever all these years—a real flower in my memory which never fades—an integral part of myself in fact, for she is inseparable from my mind. In the course of our recent removals I have come across her photograph and kept it out for a while as I wished to relive the pleasant experiences of bygone years."

In overall fine condition, with a diagonal crease to one corner of the photo and some light toning and staining to the papers.
