Oil on Board. 20" by 24" framed. Lucien C. Vannerson (1904 - 1982) was active/lived in Arizona, California. Lucien Vannerson is known for Desert landscape, portrait painting. The following, submitted July 2002, is from Catherine Penfield, who got the information from a LEANIN TREE' greeting card from Jim Goodridge. Lucian C. Vannerson was born in Ochiltree County, Texas, April l6, l904. His education consists of four years in the Texas Technological College, Lubbock, Texas. After teaching three years in the public schools, he enrolled in Carver Chiropractic College in Oklahoma City, and finished a four-year course. He practiced in New Mexico, California and Arizona. Dr. Vannerson became interested in art in 1941 while practicing in El Centro, California. Although enthusiastic and devoted to painting, he first treated art as primarily a spiritual outlet, a relaxation from his professional duties and a means of expressing his poetic and intuitive concepts of life and its varied manifestations.
