Lu Hong was influenced by the works of Paul Klee, Modigliani, and Picasso. He listened to the classical music of Chopin and Wagner and read books on poetry, Western literature and psychology. Lu Hong relates, "All my life I was forced to think and act a certain way, but after I left the academy, I began to develop my own style of thinking and painting." Seeking intellectual and artistic freedom, Lu Hong moved to the United States in 1986 becoming one of the most acclaimed contemporary Chinese artists in America.

You acknowledge that by accepting these Terms & Conditions you are opting in to receive emails and notifications about this auction sale and all other Universal sales and offerings. Buyer's Premium: A buyer's premium will be in effect for all auction sales and shall be added to each purchase to reach the total sales price. Although obtained from sources deemed reliable, the Seller and Auctioneer make no warranty or guarantee to the accuracy of the information contained in any auction listing. 13. Entire Agreement; Waiver. This Agreement, including the Universal’s User Agreement and all exhibits and other documents are incorporated herein by reference, set forth the entire understanding and agreement of the parties and supersede any and all other written or oral agreements or understandings between the parties as to the subject matter of this Agreement. In the event of an inconsistency between this Agreement and any other document, which is part of this Agreement, the terms of this Agreement shall govern. From time to time during the term of this Agreement, Universal Collectibles, Universal B&I or Universal Live Auctions may amend this Agreement (including any incorporated documents) by posting the amended terms on any Universal site, emailing notice of the amendment to the Buyer, or otherwise communicating such amendment to the Buyer. Each amendment will be effective immediately after it is initially posted on any Universal site, emailed to the Buyer, or otherwise communicated to the Buyer. The waiver of a breach of any provision of this Agreement will not operate or be interpreted as a waiver of any other or subsequent breach. The laws of the State of Illinois shall govern this Agreement and all transactions with Universal Collectibles, Universal B&I and Universal Live Auctions. REV. 2008-01
