[Louvain - Vergil] - NANNIUS, Petrus - Deuterologiae sive spicilegia in quartum librum Aeneidos Virgilii. Louvain, Rutger Rescius, Sept. 1544, 4to, mod. limp boards (provisional binding), kept in a cloth box with gilt title label on front cover, older front flyleaf preserved, [30] ff. (some stains). Nice copy. Cfr. ill. € 1500/2000 Second copy recorded of this commentary on Aeneid, Bk. IV, intended for students. It was used by the Louvain professor Nannius (1500-1557) for a course on love at the Collegium Trilingue 1544-1545. The work is dedicated to the natural son of Eustache Chapuys, ambassador of Savoie in England.
