Extremely rare. Most French gold of this period no longer exists given the revolution and the Napoleonic wars.

We offer a splendid pair of Paris fruit knives in etui made during the reign of Louis XV. Both knives are a pair and have the same style of handle made of wood and strung and capped with gold. One knife has a blade made of steel while the other one's blade is in red gold with the marks for Paris circa 1750, with charge and discharge and maker's marks. (regret that French marks tend to confuse)
The two blades are housed in a green etui with missing cap.
