Jazz great Louis Armstrong signed photo. In green felt tip, the trumpet player extraordinaire inscribes the upper right: ''To Vilt / A very cute gal / Best wishes / Louis Armstrong''. At the bottom right corner, in the same ink, Armstrong's nickname ''Satchmo'' is written, likely also in his hand. The photo is a publicity still for the 1956 MGM musical film ''High Society,'' in which Armstrong and Bing Crosby team up in the number ''Now You Has Jazz''. Glossy photo measures 8'' x 10'' and bears publicity print to lower border. Deep creasing with toning and some staining, else very good.
