<B>Lou Henry Hoover Signed Portrait.</B></I> The First Lady’s signature “<I>Lou Henry Hoover</B></I>” on a 5” x 7” Harris and Ewing black-and-white photograph showing her wearing her Girl Scout uniform. Lou Henry Hoover (1874-1944) began her association with the G.S.A. in 1917 and served as a board member or officer-including two terms as president-for the rest of her life. In 1929-the year she moved into the White House with her husband, President Herbert Hoover-she raised over a half million dollars for the Scouts’ “five-year plan” of organizational development. The portrait is in fine condition, with a tiny pinhole in each corner and the photographer’s embossed stamp at bottom left.<I>From the collection of Henry E.
