Since then, his comics have become some of the most sought after by collectors of every time period and genre. The work that Fine did for <B>Hit Comics</B></I> is regarded as the finest that he produced. This piece is stunning in its depiction of a taunt Hercules, muscles straining with an underlying balletic grace which contrasts brilliantly with the savage fury of the bears. Each line of the bears' fur has been deftly placed in a detailed approach that others choose only to suggest. The realistic figure modeling and spacial relations of the image elements that Fine was able to bring to his cover art were perfect for the medium. This work of art has been professionally matted and framed to an overall size of 19" x 24" with an image area of 13.5" x 18.5". The title mast area is a reproduced stat, while the text blurb to the left of the bear is the original that was hand rendered on the illustration board. <B>Estimate: $50,000-up</B> </FONT></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><BR><!--<a name="PricesRealized"></a> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#000000"> <tr> <td width="100%"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#79735C"> <a name="PR"> <font face="arial" size="3" color="#FFFFFF"> <b>Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions</b> </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#F6F6ED"> No Prior Data Recorded </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <font face="arial" size="1""> PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium.
