Lot of two sets of 19th century eating utensils. One take-apart knife set (“Hobo set”). Approx. 4-7/8” overall (closed). One half of the knife is the knife blade, and is stamped “Clark”. Bias cut horn scales withthree German silver and three brass pins. One half includes a steel fork and sterling silver hallmarked spoon with bias cut horn scales and six brass pins. All blades have half stops. The knife and fork blades havescattered light discoloration. Complete with rare original cardboard carrying case. Circa 1850. The second set is a matching ivory handled three piece set in original leather folding case. Approx. 4-1/8” long (closed).The fork and spoon are German silver and have good snap. The knife blade is lazy and unmarked. The hilt shows ivory scales, German silver bolsters and escutcheon plates. The knife has a corkscrew. There is greenishpatina on the mounts, fork, and spoon.
