Lot of two personal items descended in the family from WW II officer Colonel Henry M. Salley, who served his Country for 30 years in the infantry and with the Corps of Army Engineers. The family reports he was selected during WW II by General “Hap” Arnold to go to England and stargt construction of the airfields used by the 8th and 9th Air Forces. The personal items include a WW II era U.S. marked Elgin watch and leather band (back of watch also marked Ser. No. OC-69355 in overall good condition and running at the time of description; also a U.S. marked pocket compass in overall worn but good condition. Est.: $250-$500.
