Eaton to his father, both from Tombstone, A.T. and dated April 30th, 1880 and Sept. 30, 1880; both in very good and readable condition; the contents of theletters give a fascinating glimpse of life in the “Town Too Tough To Die” and were written at a time the Earps, Doc Holliday and the Clanton gang were all in town; Eaton tells his father of being swindled in a mineclaim deal, of being robbed in Tucson, getting married in Tombstone and of preparing to sell his interest in a store and moving to Socorro for better business prospects.
