Lot of two gun-related documents. 1: Document of acceptance and authorization of payment for 750 pistols with extra parts and molds to Henry Aston for his contract of February 25, 1845. The authorization is signed by Patch, US Inspector of Arms, 6th day of July 1848, also signed by W.A. Thorton, an underinspector. An itemization of transport, packing, and payment of spare parts, totaling $5,184.15. Receiving the said items July 6th, 1848. The document is in good condition with some slight fraying at the edges and minor tears, but generally very good and absolutely legible. 2: Original receipt dated 1874 from E. C. Meacham to P. J. Huber itemizing the sale of loading implements. The receipt advertizes Winchester rifle repeating rifle and cartridges, along with Colt and Smith & Wesson improved revolvers. The receipt shows some staining and slight losses at the edges. Est.: $250-$500
