Lot of five brass belt buckles with three different designs depicting Wells Fargo & Company advertising, each approx. 2-1/4” x 3-1/2”, all in good condition. These fantasy buckles were produced and widely sold in the 1970’s at gunshows and to this day show up in antique stores across the U.S.; each shows a dark patina and the lot includes two buckles with raised “Wells Fargo & Company Express” banners along with a train and the reverse side marked “Parade Design; FieldTelegraph; WF 1877”; two buckles with raised “Wells Fargo & Company Bankers and Forwarders” banners also with a train and with reverse side markings “Tiffany & Co. 550-552 Broadway, NY and an additional stamp “Dodge City, Kansas”; and thefifth buckle showing a raised circular ribbon seal in the center stating “Wells Fargo Western Division” and “Since 1852” along with stylized scrolling in the four corners of the buckle; the back side is stamped “Edward Rose & Co., Chicago,WF”. Well-made and can be used with leather belts or as decorators for the Western or Express Company theme room. Est.: $100-$150.
