Lot of USMC uniform button, ordinance flaming bomb metal uniform insignias and misc. mementos descended in the family of Robert C. Allan who began service in the Marine Corp. in 1902 as a Private and retired as a First Lieutenant in 1945. Allan’s record of deployments included service in Cuba, the Dominican Republic, China, on the Mexican Border, in WW I and WW II; accompanied by a folder containing information on some of his service; would be interesting to research furthergiven the 43 year span of this patriot’s career and the historic events he participated in during the first half of the 20th century!
