Full plate albumen of Major Robert McKenzie. McKenzie enlisted on 2 May 1861 and served in the US Paymaster's Department. He was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel on 13 March 1865. Verso signed in pencil, ''Major Robert McKenzie / 1864.'' Verso also contains ink and pencil inscriptions pertaining to family relations. Wear to corners and overall toning. Lot accompanied by hand-painted full plate image of McKenzie's daughter Maria Kinzie Steuart, who married Confederate General, George H. Steuart. Very good condition.
