English poet and novelist Jean Ingelow (1820-1897) wrote this apologetic note to "Mr. Longman" of the well-known London publisher, Longman's. Fine with original folds and ink fading to brown. <And:] <B>John Masefield Partly Printed Document with Handwritten Note</B></I>, 4.5" x 3.5", Pinbury Park, Cirencester, no date. English Poet Laureate and novelist John Masefield (1878-1967) sent this small reply card in response to inquiries from his readers. Though unsigned, a brief handwritten note is included.
