Lot of Two (2) Reproduction Swords:  (1)  Modern reproduction of the U.S. Marine Corps enlisted man's dress sword. Etched decorated bright steel blade with "United States Marine Corps" embossed. Blade has been sharpened. Silver/gold colored plated guard and pommel with pierced floral designs. Leather covered grooved handle with twisted wire wrapping. Leather covered metal scabbard with silver/gold colored plated fittings at top and bottom. White leather frog does not have a hole for the frog stud, and has a small piece cut from the back side. Blade measures 29.75", OAL is 39". Condition is as new with little to no wear and light oxidation to the plated metal surfaces. Leather on the grip is loose near the top edge. White leather frog shows light soiling and cracking to the finish.  (2) Repro Confederate Musician's Sword, with leather scabbard. Crude cast grooved grip and clamshell guard with C.S.A. embossed. Thin bow knuckle guard attaches to rounded pommel with round top nut. Wire knot hanger at top nut. The 36" blade is plain with a wide groove near the top spine. Scabbard is leather with brass fittings at top and bottom, the top fitting having a long frog stud. OAL is 43". Condition is good, the brass handle fittings have a darkened forced patina. Grip has some flattened ridges and is very crude. Blade has a grayed forced patina overall and is not sharp. Leather on the scabbard shows cracking, scuffs, and scratches to the black-painted finish. Brass fittings on the scabbard have a darkened forced patina with a few light dings and scratches. Est.:  $150-$200/Lot.
