The Pennsylvania Railroad called itself the "Standard Railroad of the World", meaning that it was perceived as the standard to which all other railroads aspired. For years that was literally true; the railroad had an impressive lists of firsts, greatests, biggests, and longests. It was the first railroad to rid itself of wooden-bodied passenger cars in favor of the much safer steel-bodied cars. It led the way in many safety and efficiency improvements over the years. The certificate is for twenty-six shares, issued on October 19, 1959. Including the frame, it measures 17.25" x 14.25".

Shipping: Framed - with Glass, Medium (view shipping information)
