<B>Lot of Three First Lady Signatures,</B></I> including: <B>Mary Dimmick Harrison,</B></I> an autograph note signed, 4.5” x 6”, on personal stationary, two pages, January 18th, 1930. Harrison (1858-1948) was the second wife of the 23rd United States president Benjamin Harrison. She was 25 years younger than Harrison, and was the niece of his first wife. In 1881, Mary Lord married Walter Dimmick, a son of the attorney-general of Pennsylvania. He died shortly thereafter, leaving her a widow at 23. During the presidency of Benjamin Harrison, she was a frequent guest at the White House, and lived there for a time with Harrison and his first wife (her aunt), Caroline Lavinia Scott, who died in 1892. Mrs. Dimmick married the former president in 1896; <B>Grace Anna Goodhue Coolidge,</B></I> franked personal envelope, postmarked November 6, 1947, Northampton, Massachusetts. Coolidge (1879-1957) was wife of Calvin Coolidge and First Lady of the United States from 1923 to 1929; and, <B>Anna Eleanor Roosevelt,</B></I> franked envelope, postmarked September 27, 1946, Hyde Park, New York. Roosevelt (1884 -1962) was an American political leader who used her influence as First Lady of the United States from 1933 to 1945 to promote her husband's (Franklin D. Roosevelt's) New Deal, as well as civil rights.
