(1) Games of the XI Olympiad medal from the infamous 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, held as Hitler and the Nazi regime came to power. Cast featuring a bust in profile of an Olympian wearing a headband suggesting the Olympians of ancient Greece, flanked by olive branches. In the center are the words, ''4711-Erinnerung / Olympia / 1936 / Berlin''. Reverse side features the Olympic bell with ''4711'' in its center and the words ''Koln / Glockengasse'' within a pair of olive branches. Medal was awarded to the British International Olympic Committee member Sir Noel Curtis-Bennett. Medal of white metal has a loop welded to the outer edge at the top for suspension as a pendant. Diameter measures between 1.25'' and 1.5''. Weighs 16 grams. Tarnishing and minor nicks, else fine.
(2) Games of the XI Olympiad medal from the infamous 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, held as Hitler and the Nazi regime came to power. Bronze medal was cast with a stylized scene of five Olympians pulling the ropes of the Olympic bell, each athlete standing for one of the world's populated continents. Scene is flanked by ''XI Olympiade'' and ''Berlin / 1936''. Reverse side features the Olympic bell with a German eagle at in its center grasping the Olympic rings. Bell design is at the heart of five concentric rings. The mark of designer ''Otto Placzek'' appears at the lower right. Diameter of brass medal measures 2.75'' Weighs 105 grams. Tarnishing and minor nicks, else fine.
(3) Games of the X Olympiad medal from the scant-attended 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, held during the worst of the Great Depression. Its design by Julio Kilenyi depicts a male athlete standing waving a banner that reads, ''Xth / Olympiad / 1932.'' Reverse features an outdoor scene of a pair of seated women flanking the shield of the USA, while the one on the right also holds a shield bearing the seals of the State of California and the City of Los Angeles, all under ''Los Angeles - California''. Desinger's last name appears on reverse and Whitehead-Hoag hallmark is engraved on the outer edge. Solid bronze participation medal was awarded to the British International Olympic Committee member Sir Noel Curtis-Bennett. Diameter measures 2.75''. Weighs 142 grams. (4) Games of the XIV Olympiad medal from the 1948 Summer Olympics in London, the first Olympics following the twelve-year-long wartime sabbatical. Designed by B Mackennal / J Pinches, bronze medal features Westminster to the top of obverse and below, ''XIV Olympiad / London / 1948'', with the Olympic rings at the very bottom. Reverse depicts a four-horse chariot driven by a pair of young men. Designer's initials ''BM'' are engraved to the area beneath the horses' hooves. Solid bronze participation medal was awarded to British International Olympic Committee member Sir Noel Curtis-Bennett. Diameter measures 2''. Weighs 61 grams. Tarnishing and minor nicks, else near fine.
(5) Games of the XIV Olympiad commemorative plaque from the 1948 Summer Olympics in London, the first Olympics following the twelve-year-long wartime sabbatical. Bronze plaque features Westminster and the Olympic rings under ''XIV Olympiad / London / 1948''. Reverse features a classical discus thrower and olive branches under a plaque engraved with the name of International Olympic Committee member, ''Sir Noel Curtis-Bennett''. The number 851108 appears under the athlete. Measures 2.5'' x 4''. Weighs 94 grams. Tarnishing and a barely discernible nick to the bottom of the second Olympic ring, else fine.
